"Is my tavern on fire...?"
Triboar was being attacked by giants, again! A line of refugees and wounded soldiers marched south ward away from the burning town. Our brave heroes took exception to this attack on their home and repelled the remaining forces. After the victory, the lord protector employed the heroes to find out who had broken into the vault and stolen a mummified beholders eye.

Pocket boulders, dancing undead & cave ins.
The company now known as 'Inn Trouble' explored a cavern complex near Lance Rock, despite the warnings from a local hunter and a freshly painted sign at the cave entrance. After making their way up a rather steep and winding ramp inside the cavern the company were not surprised to see a large boulder charging towards them. Like a well oiled machine, team tactics were actioned (in around ten minutes or so). Luna threw down the handkerchief of holding and tucked that big bad boy away. Shortly thereafter it was used as a bowling ball to destroy corpses in a store room. After witnessing a rather perverse trio of dancing zombies our heroes burst forth to confront the madman who was raising dead corpses. Our heroes vanquished the mad necromancers minions and solved and impossible puzzle to destroy his infernal dead person making machine. The necromancer having nothing further to offer the party, was put out of his misery. A cloudy blue orb held by undead hands got the better of Tarquin. He discovered that the entity that has been freaking him out every time he used a found wand of lightning was on the other end of this communication orb. The entity a little annoyed that his necromancer and death machine had been destroyed shot a lighting bolt from the orb which caused the start of a cave in. As swift as tired legs could carry them the company made a dash for the entrance (none as swiftly as Tarquin - a lifetime spent running away had readied him for this very moment) all escaping to safety. The company returning to Red Larch, and after a much needed rest joined a caravan headed back to Triboar. |
